Sorry!!!

We went to Nimule, kind of spur of the moment. It is on the border of Uganda, is incredibly beautiful and cool, and has absolutely no internet whatsoever. So. A week later, when we finally got home at ten at night, I got to check my email and find 90 NEW MESSAGES half of which were from smisch being like "are you dead? please clarify."
Unfortunately, I cant actually update now because we are leaving again in a couple of hours to go back to Isoke and Kimotong (the creepy place where I am apparently engaged) which may or may not have internet (i hope i hope i hope). I'm keeping up with writing about things but i'm not very good at posting about it right now.
BUT I'm fine. I'll update soon. I miss everyone. I'm having a hell of a time.
And Aliza I'll email you soon. Promise.

"Freaktastically" - yes, that is a 'mou juste' to express how at least some of us have been feeling for the past week. I have been practicing Zen breathing and meditation and failing miserably at both.

So likewise, stay safe and happy, and remember that you are engaged - to a Navy seal with fangs! Or the rabbit from Spamalot. You pick, depending on the circumstances.

Hi Emma,

Whew, we're glad to hear you are happy & well...I think it might be a good move for Gil & I to refrain from reading the Africa section of the NYT online until you get home! ;) Can't wait to hear all about your recent adventures!

Love,
Becky

Emma!

Apparently, your high misadventures have surpassed even those of the immortal and inimitable Hepburn and Bogart on The African Queen.

Glad to hear you're in saner lands.

You should try and refrain from turning your dead old dad into a Zen monk before he's ready.

Get home safe, much love,

Uncle Gilbert & Aunt Becky

I love Uncle Gil and Daddy Chet.(which sounds a bit like daddy warbucks...so if that makes me orphan annie then when do i get my own fire works show? get on that).

So emma told me that I should go look for this series of comments...

And it was worth scrolling through pages and pages of internet-age.
